Pregnancy Stages: Week 01

You missed your period? Are you pregnant? Are you anxious to know? Usually women do not notice any physical change on their body during the first week of pregnancy.Rarely some might experience mild cramps, tiredness and some women may faint during to the low blood pressure. However these signs vary from one person to another and do not happen systematically to all woman.

Doctors start to count pregnancy weeks from the first day of your last period. We do not know when fertilization happened. If you know exactly your last menstruation period, you can calculate easily your due date.

Ovulation might have happened on any day of your menstrual cycle. Your uterus is getting ready to receive the egg. The uterus lining builds up and thickens to make the egg implantation easy. Usually fertilization happens 12 to 24 hours after releasing the ovum.

If you are thinking of getting pregnant, consult your doctor and start healthy habits. Start by exercising and follow a healthy diet. Take Vitamins and Folic Acid. Once you are positive of your pregnancy, start documenting all stages.
