Pregnancy Stages: Week 03

• Your baby:

Congratulations! Your egg is fertilized and the embryo is as small as the head of a pin. He will start his travel through the fallopian tube to the uterus where implantation happens and the placenta starts to form. You might experience a slight bleeding and some women can remember the day of ovulation.

• Your body:

Your body starts its journey. The HCG hormone increase inundates your system with estrogen and progesterone. The embryo is a blastocyst that receives oxygen and nutrients through a small system of blood vessels. Some women may start feeling early pregnancy symptoms as tender breasts, fatigue, frequent urination and nausea.

Your home pregnancy test will turn positive.
